Old short stories i'm trying to find when i was in first grade my teacher would tell the cl?

I have been trying to find these old short stories my first grade teacher would tell the cl... One was about this dark, dark street... It went something like this " down a dark, dark street was a dark, dark porch then a dark, dark house... with a dark, dark door" and so on revealing something spooky in the house which i can't remember. This story also had pics for every dark, dark section. Then the second story was about a cradle up a creeky spooky tree, it had the baby lullaby "rock bye baby" play along with it, wich at the end when the cradle fell from the tree, it revealed the baby to be a wherewolf or some monster... I can't remeber the names or authors, i just remember bits of them, I want to have them as child hood memories.. If anyone could help that would be great....
