Why do ignorant people believe in evolution?

Animals didn't just appear though. They evolved over time form simple single cellular organisms. How would you explain codon placement? Think about the flu. The reason you have to get new vaccinations for it is because its genome slightly changed because of point mutations and natural selection. Creationists don't even try to understand evolution they just spout "I'm not an ape" which evolution doesn't even say we came from apes. I believe in evolution and I am a christian. Our time scale hadn't been invented yet so Gods 7 days might really be 6 billion years. Your never going to change someones oppinion and noone really cares what yours is, but if your going to make fun of something get the facts straight. By the way they proved that endosymbiosis is true so I don't know what to tell you.
