Why does my dad always refer to himself as "WE" (as in him and his new wife)?

Whenever I talk to my dad, I never hear him say "I", its always "WE", as in him and his new wife (my stepmom).... its like he lost his independence. i am fed up with it. Why can't he ever think for himself, he always has to have her permission to do anything. he would be so much cooler without her, she turned him into this whipped pansy. Its like hes being brainwashed. Whats going on? Did he lose his autonomy? I hope I never end up like him. I never want to meet a woman who tells me what to do. How can I not be like my dad?
