Whats best for removing automotive adhesive?

i just pulled of a rubber molding of the side of my 2003 silverado. its got that adhesive from it still there, real ugly. i tried using a razor blade. i got sum of it of n made sum scratches. then i used this solvent from walmart, that did nothin really. that 3m adhesive remover any good?
