Saying yes to homecoming?

I need a creative way to say yes for homecoming. The way my date asked me was he left a sign on my doorstep saying 'It would be sweet to go to homecoming with you' with candy all over it. And there was the song sweet caroline playing on a boombox. I want to do something with candy. Any ideas?
