Liable for husband's credit card Debt?

I'm in CA. My husband just recently moved out and changed his address (I have written proof of the address change) and started charging a lot of money to his credit card. We have completely separate accounts. Can I be liable for his debt? I have perfect credit so I'm freaking out here. I've made an appointment for legal consultation but I can't get in until next week.
