Have you had Gastric Byp Surgery?

I am a 34-year-old female, and significantly overweight. I went to a consultation for gastric byp surgery, fit all the criteria, and was approved by my insurance company. All that's left is for me to take the plunge, but I'm kind of scared. If you have had this surgery, would you recommend it? How did you do with the surgery? How do you feel now?
